Hawk Talk

I’ve got to admit I was more than worried when the Hawkeyes took the field against the Gophers for homecoming weekend at Kinnick Stadium Saturday.
Would the offense show up or get shut down like it did against Iowa State?
How about the defense? Could they stop a team like Minnesota that came in to the game 4-0, or would they give up 32 points like they did last week?
What about the special teams? Could they cover an onside kick?
Can Mark Weisman continue to run over a Big Ten defense?
One of the things you can count on is the Hawkeyes’ leadership.

Twenty years of excellence

SOLON– Excellence is a Solon tradition.
Numerous appearances in state-level athletic contests; back-to-back-to-back-to back (yes, four in a row) football championships; regular first-class ratings in a wide array of musical competitions; consistently scoring above the national average in standardized testing.
And now, the community is celebrating 20 years of financially supporting students’ education with an annual fall gala.
