Easter stuffed animals

The Friends of the Solon Library recently purchased replacement chairs for the children’s section. Many of the old plastic chairs had been broken, limiting seating in that area. The new oak chairs are a nice addition. Please stop in the children’s section and take a look. Also, if you hear the rattling of pots and pans, it is most likely some young patrons enjoying the new kitchen set also placed in the children’s section by the friends organization. The kitchen set is one of the most popular items with the kids. This new set has garnered a lot of attention.

Yes, we have ‘The Hunger Games’ series

At least once a day (most days more than that), people come in asking if we “The Hunger Games” series. We have seven copies of the first book in the series, and four copies of each succeeding book, as well as one copy of each book on CD. If all are checked out, they can be put on hold. Even though lots of people are reading the book, the holds are going very quickly. Nobody seems to be able to put them down once they start reading. With so many copies, nobody should have to wait long for a book, so don’t be afraid to put your name on the list.
