Eastern Iowa Brass Band presents Christmas concert Dec.17

MOUNT VERNON– The Eastern Iowa Brass Band will present its annual Christmas concert on Saturday, Dec. 17, at 7:30 p.m. in the Mount Vernon district auditorium.


Senior Advocates meal and a movie date changed to Monday, Dec. 19

SOLON– The December meal and a movie date has been changed to Monday, Dec. 19. The Solon Senior Advocates are showing the movie “The Help” which is set in the 1960s in Jackson, Miss., based on the book that has been on the bestseller’s list and a favorite for book clubs.
