‘Music on Main Street’ schedule begins June 6

SOLON– This summer, “Music on Main Street” will be in full swing with performances at the Main Street bandstand on Wednesdays, except as noted, at 7 p.m.
Schedule:
June 6: Mount Vernon Community Band (Instrumental, Americana).
June 13: Riverbottom Ramblers (Blue Grass).
June 20: Joel Foreman and Friends (variety vocal).
June 27: Flannel Scott Cochran (country music).
July 4: No performance scheduled due to the Independence Day celebrations.
July 11: Don and Friends (country, gospel).
July 18: Iowa Accordion Club (variety accordion).


Dance Team juniors host garage sale June 2 for the Macy’s parade

SOLON– The Juniors from the Solon Dance Team are having a garage sale on Saturday, June 2, during city wide sales. It will be held at 1802 Mehaffey Bridge Rd., Solon.
While doing your spring cleaning, if you find anything you will like to donate, they would appreciate your donation.
They will be happy to get items early and will store them until the sale. Just call Sandy at 319-624-2896 to arrange a pick up. The team would appreciate any help with this fundraiser.
