IOWA CITY– City High’s Scott Tribbey launched a shot at the West High goal from about 30 yards out and scored as time ran out Tuesday, May 13, at the University of Iowa soccer field. His shot gave the number three-rated Little Hawks a 1-0 win over the top-ranked and until that moment, undefeated, Trojans.
But, some say his shot came after the game clock had hit 00:00. Curiously, the University’s soccer complex does not have a horn that sounds when time runs out.

Protests from students, faculty and community members over a $3.6 million budget cut for the 2014-2015 fiscal year have gone largely unaddressed by the school board since the decision to cut the budget was made last January.

NL to consider water, sewer rate increases

By Lori Lindner

NORTH LIBERTY– As North Liberty’s population continues to rise, increasing the number of customers for which the city provides sewer and water services, it’s not enough to keep up with demand.
At least, not when the demand is for new or expanded facilities for both utilities.
