Wood and Strabala tops for Trojans

IOWA CITY– The West High Trojans and Women of Troy split a bowling dual meet against the Waterloo West Wahawks Friday, Dec. 11, at Colonial Lanes.
The Trojan boys upended the Wahawks by only 111 pins, winning 2,877 to 2,766, with Patrick Wood’s 433 leading the way. The Women of Troy fell, 2,521 to 2,050, with Kalei Strabala as the top scorer for Iowa City West with 272. The junior varsity (JV) boys fell, 2,163 to 2,005, with Iowa City’s Sam Ross setting the pace for the Trojans with 321. The JV girls pulled off a 1,899 to 1,747 win, led by Asha Irani.
