Schwarting, shuttle hurdle team finish first
WASHINGTON– Clear Creek Amana’s (CCA) Corrine Schwarting won both the 100-meter hurdles and long jump on Thursday, April 23, at the 41st annual Washington Girls’ Invitational Track Meet. Schwarting also ran lead for the winning 4x100-meter shuttle hurdle relay, followed by Riley Hennes, Megan Lukas and Nicole Cullen.
The Clippers placed fourth overall in team points, 91, while Benton Community won the meet with 154. Washington, Mount Pleasant, the Clippers and Iowa City’s City High rounded out the field.
The Clippers will host the Pacha Relays on Thursday, April 30, with a 5 p.m. start.
