Knocked out in DC

By Don Lund
Sports Writer

I certainly didn’t see this coming.
The Hawkeyes were on a four-game winning streak going into the Big Ten Tournament.
They started the streak on Feb. 21 with a 96-90 overtime win against Indiana at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Last week at the Big Ten Tournament in Washington, D.C., the Hoosiers scored 95, Iowa 73.
The basketball season reminds me a little like the way the football season ended.
The Hawkeye football team won its last three games in the regular season, knocking off No. 2 Michigan plus beating Illinois and Nebraska.
