CCA rolls over Independence, 70-35
TIFFIN– Clear Creek Amana’s (CCA) varsity girls improved to 7-4 on the season with a 70-35 pounding of the winless Independence Mustangs Thursday, Jan. 12, at home. The game, originally scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 10, was postponed due to weather and road conditions to the north.
The Creek Girls jumped out to a 10-2 lead in the first period, although the Mustangs regrouped and narrowed the gap to five points. The Clippers lead was never threatened throughout the rest of the game with a 30-19 lead in the second period and a 51-28 advantage after three quarters of play.
