Software error leads to inaccurately low sewer bills

NORTH LIBERTY– Due to a software error, North Liberty water and wastewater customers were sent inaccurate bills for June. For the average customer, the difference is between $15 to $22.
The software error, discovered by city staff on Monday, caused customers to be billed for only the minimum wastewater use, regardless of actual use. The error occurred when the software vendor failed to correctly input a rate table. City staff worked with the software vendor to correct the error and will spot check July bills for accuracy.
