“Cash Cow” picked by Solon State Bank
SOLON– Solon State Bank is the sponsor of Heather Hugeback’s “Cash Cow,” one of four entires in the Solon Library Foundation’s Calf Classic.
Heather Hugeback was born in Cape Canaveral, Fla. to two active-duty US Air Force parents and raised in Vacaville, Calif, Anchorage, Alaska, and Solon.
She graduated from Solon High School with highest honors in 2010 and is currently a sophomore at Kirkwood Community College majoring in Health Information Technology with emphasis on radiological sciences.
She appeared on the Dean’s List for the fall and spring semester of the 2010-11 school year. She has worked for Solon Community School District’s Before and After School Program (BASP) since May of 2008 as a senior program aide assisting in the development and implementation of standards, activities and monitoring of school-aged children.
Hugeback won multiple Solon High School art competitions and helped organize and execute the first Empty Bowls Haiti relief fundraiser at Solon High School in 2010. She is a freelance artist and enjoys portraiture, wildlife and nature illustration and cartooning.
Hugeback’s “Cash Cow” will be displayed at the Solon State Bank until mid-July when it will be entered in the 40th annual Beef Days Parade, Saturday, July 16. All four decorated calves will be displayed in a booth on Main Street following the parade and will be auctioned off Saturday evening to benefit the Solon Library Foundation.
