Candidate forum April 17 at North Liberty Community Library
NORTH LIBERTY– With North Liberty’s special election for both mayor and city council set to take place in just two more weeks, residents deserve an opportunity to ask questions and hear from all the candidates.
For that reason, the Iowa City Area Chamber of Commerce is working in conjunction with various area groups to host a candidate forum. The forum will take place 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 17, in the North Liberty Community Library meeting rooms. It is open to the public.
The forum will kick off with a 45-minute Mayoral Session, including opening remarks, 10 to 15 minutes of prescribed questions and then questions from the audience. The forum will then proceed to the Council Session, featuring one hour and 10 minutes of questions from moderators and the audience.
“We are excited to provide an opportunity for all candidates to speak to voters and answer their questions,” said Ryan Sempf, Public Policy Assistant for the Iowa City Area Chamber of Commerce.
