Cheryle R. Hootman, 66, of Cedar Rapids, died early Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Celebration of Life was Jan. 25 at Papich-Kuba Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids.
Local survivors include her daughter Tamera (Bryan) Ballard of Ely.
Cheryle was born Nov. 18, 1946, in Cedar Rapids, and lived most of her life in Cedar Rapids and the surrounding area. She was a very good cook and loved to paint, especially nature scenes.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
