NORTH LIBERTY– For the fifth year, robots, waddling pumpkins, princesses, a dinosaur, a skunk, a gecko, a Little Mermaid and other assorted characters, including crime fighters Batman and “Paw Patrol” K-9 Chase, made the rounds of the StoneBridge Promenade’s merchants in search of Halloween treats.
The Montessori Children’s Garden’s costumed students paraded to the commercial development on Halloween morning, Tuesday, Oct. 31, in the annual event coordinated by Dr. Ryan Veatch, with Blink Vision. In addition to candy and other goodies, the costumed kiddos also braved a haunted house and posed for pictures by family members before marching back to the school.
Montessori Children’s Garden, located at 20 Circle Dr., is an independent private school educating children ages 3 to 6 since 2003. The school provides education based on the child-centered philosophy and principles of Dr. Maria Montessori and can be reached at 319-665-9625 or montgarden@montessoriiowa.org.
