Doll tea, a great event
On Wednesday, July 20, the Old Capitol Doll Club of Iowa came to the Solon Public Library with lots of dolls.
The program included a little about the history of doll making, showing how different dolls were made inside and out and an etiquette lesson before having “tea.” Another highlight of the program was the craft, where everyone got to make two magnetic paper dolls. Many of the attendees dressed up for the occasion and most brought their dolls with them. One of the girls had made a new dress for her doll the night before! “It was a very fun afternoon for both the kids and the adults who came with them,” according to Jen Leveck, Youth Services Librarian. “We had so many great comments after it was over”.
