Rebecca See and Ronald See spent Saturday, Dec. 3, shopping in Galena, Illinois, visiting the ministry chapel of the Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters in Wisconsin and touring the Grotto in Dickeyville, Wisconsin.

Rebecca and Ronald See of Dubuque attended the Loras College Christmas concert at the Nativity Catholic Church in Dubuque on Friday evening, Dec. 2.

Fred and Becky Showalter and Ellen Jones spent a week over Thanksgiving visiting at the home of Ellen’s son, Wayne and Holli Jones, Kelli and Krystal in Buffalo, Wyoming. On Saturday evening, they attended the wedding of Kelli Jones and Brett Hageman at the Meadowlark Ski Lodge in Ten Sleep Wyoming. Kelli is the daughter of Wayne and Holli Jones, of Buffalo, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Hageman, of Cheyenne, Wyoming. They returned home Sunday night, Nov. 27. Wayne’s brother, Larry Jones, of Wake Forest, North Carolina, also attended the wedding.

Thanksgiving Day dinner guests of Gary and Nona Reyhons were Jerry and Susan Jones, of Tama; Peg Campbell, of Cedar Rapids; Aaron and Sara Nost and Brianna and Kirsten Jones, of Lisbon; Randy and Jenny Shalla, Alvia Osborn and Tray Shalla, all of Lone Tree; Rob and Amy Glick, Grady and Carson, of Solon; Ryan, Amy, Mya, Tyler and Hudsyn Reyhons, Bill and Sue Reyhons, Audrey and Eli Wilson, and Bim Reyhons.

Maurice and Rachel Garnant entertained with a dinner at their home Thanksgiving Day. Guests attending were James, Sherry, and Katie Garnant, of Ely; Anna Garnant, of Des Moines; Jared and Jerilyn Garnant, of Fairfax; Maureen Smith and Roger Burgess, of Clinton; Emily Zimmon Garcia and Ramon Garcia, of Mount Vernon; Kris Garnant and Skil Willets, of Comanche; Leo Truhlar, of Cedar Rapids; and Rachel Smith, of Madison, Wisconsin.

Ethel Anderson spent Thanksgiving week at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Jackson and Terry Anderson, in Rapid City, South Dakota. Joining them for a few days were Mitchell, Miranda and Ariana Anderson, and Ellen Jebens and her children, Brigham and Sawyer, all of Minot, North Dakota. One highlight for all was a hike around Lake Paktola in the Black Hills and eating the renowned cheeseburgers at the Sugar Shack. Ethel made the trip to South Dakota with the Showalters and returned home with them on Sunday, Nov. 27.
