Fourth annual Parent University to be held March 29 at Van Allen
NORTH LIBERTY–Parent University will be held Thursday, March 29, from 6-7:30 pm. at Van Allen Elementary School, 170 Abigail Rd., North Liberty. Childcare (for children toilet trained and older only) will be provided at no charge.
Learn about practical tools that can be applied at home at a free event for all parents and caregivers of school-aged children.
“Classroom Tips and Tricks that Can Work at Home” will be presented by speakers Amy Graber and Kristi Miller, both licensed school social workers from Grant Wood Area Education Agency. Emily O’Donnell, North Central Junior High Math teacher and ICCSD Elementary Math Specialist, will present “Everyday Math Tips.” O’Donnell will share information about the district’s Everyday Math curriculum. Parents will also learn hands-on games that help strengthen basic facts and other math skills.
