Front Street closed for construction this week

NORTH LIBERTY– Starting Monday afternoon, June 18, Front Street will be closed between West Walnut and East Chestnut to accommodate utility service connections to 145 North Front St. The road is expected to reopen by Friday, June 22, contingent on weather. Traffic control signs will be in place to detour through traffic to Dubuque Street and Zeller.
Construction Inspector Bill Minor said, “Basically, there will be a sewer service connection to a new duplex. There will be some trench work in order to install the sewer and water services. We apologize for any inconvenience.”
