Giant balloon games at NLRC Sept. 16-17

NORTH LIBERTY– The North Liberty Recreation Center will join forces with Chad Johnson of ICBalloons to create the world’s first interactive giant balloon games event Sept. 16 from 3-7:30 p.m. and Sept. 17 from 2-7 pm.
This is a free activity for everyone and is a rare opportunity for locals to experience 3-foot round balloons, like the ones that got so much attention in the recent political conventions. Johnson aims to create a perpetual balloon drop experience, using half of a gymnasium, and then turning the balloon movements into various games. Players will be invited to participate, dozens at a time, surrounded by swirling, colorful and giant balloons. (Imagine being 2 inches tall and standing in the middle of an air blown lottery machine!)
This is the first of a series of large-scale balloon gaming experiences Chad is bringing to the Iowa Corridor area. For more information, please contact Chad Johnson at 512-350-4242 or ICBalloons@gmail.com.
