Gladys Kofron
Gladys Anastazie Kofron, 95, of Cedar Rapids, died at her home Saturday morning, July 9, 2011. Funeral Mass was held July 12 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church by Father Christopher Podhajsky. Burial was at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.
Gladys is survived locally by grandson Shane (Cindy) Kofron of Swisher; and great-grandchild Kyann Kofron, Swisher.
Gladys was born May 20, 1916, in rural Alburnett. She married Milo B. Kofron on Jan. 28, 1947, in Algona. Gladys worked for seven years at Wilson-Sinclair Meat Packing Plant before her marriage. Following her marriage, she was a full-time homemaker for her family.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.
