Jack S. Brazier “Silver Fox,” 81, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013, at St. Luke’s Hospital. A celebration of Jack’s life will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, at O’Malley’s Pub.
Jack S. Brazier was born April 29, 1932, to Leo and Adeline Killen Brazier in Eau Claire, Wis. He attended Pillsbury Military Academy in Owatonna, Minn., Roosevelt High School and MacPhail Center for Music in Minneapolis. Jack worked for Iowa Manufacturing from 1954 until 1995. He was united in marriage to Arlene Frana on Dec. 22, 1963.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene; children, Jack J. Brazier and Angela (Jerry Bower Jr.) Brazier, both of Cedar Rapids, and Renee (Jack) Costigan of Ely; grandchildren, Cody and Andria Swalley, Jarred Wood, Jackson, Molly and Eli Costigan; a sister, MaryAnne Wilson of Brooklyn Park, Minn.; and a brother, Thomas L. Brazier of Orange, Calif.
