James Milton Robertson, 69, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, July 23, 2013, in Evergreen Estates Assisted Living. Services were held July 29 at Trinity Lutheran Church, by the Rev. David Miller. Burial was in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Sumner.
Survivors include his children, Michael Robertson of Cedar Rapids, Renee Camblin of Westminster, Colo., and Nicole Robertson of Ely, a grandson, Phillip (Reagan) Robertson, and a great-granddaughter, Annebelle Robertson, both of Arvada, Colo.; a brother, Steven (Barbara) Robertson of Mason, Wis.; cousins, Alan (Debbie) Robertson of Humble, Texas, and Elaine (Ron) Koepke of Denver; and friend, Jan Basemann of Cedar Rapids.
James was born Jan. 1, 1944, in Sumner, the son of Milton and Iva (Meswarb) Robertson. Jim was a machinist for Goss in Cedar Rapids. He loved aviation and was in the process of obtaining his private pilot’s license.
He will be remembered as a friendly person who liked people.
