James F. Thein, 64, of Garnavillo, formerly of San Antonio, Texas, passed away Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital, Guttenberg. Per his wishes, he has been cremated. A private family inurnment was held at the Garnavillo Cemetery. Iowa Cremation assisted the family.
Local survivors include daughter Jamie Thein of North Liberty. James Forrest Thein was born Sept. 17, 1948, in Guttenberg, the son of Forrest and Janell (Mueller) Thein. Jim worked as an E.E.G. technologist for many years and was an avid golfer and enjoyed motorcycles.
He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
