Joe served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. He spent a career as a truck driver, many of those years alongside Judy in the cab. He and Judy not only cared for their children and grandchildren, but also opened their home and hearts to over 70 foster children over the years. He was a strong advocate of veterans that had to deal with Agent Orange from the Vietnam War; he worked and contributed much on their behalf. Joe was a member of the American Legion and the VFW.
