Harold Leonard Lisk, 84, died at Vista Wood Care Center in Ottumwa. He was born Jan. 24, 1929, to Harry and Beryl (Thatcher) Lisk near Delta. He graduated from Delta High School in 1947. Leonard started to farm with his dad and worked at John Morrell. He served in the U. S. Air Force from 1950 until 1955. After his discharge he returned to farming and working at John Morrell until its closing in 1973. He farmed until 1983. He married Martha Jean Tanner and they later divorced. Later he was employed at the University Hospital for 13 years and retired in 1994. He moved to North Liberty in 1987 and was a member of the Delta Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Henrietta Walsh and one great grandson. Those left to mourn his passing are his children Jane (Denny) Clubb of Sigourney, Susan (Terry) Shannon of Ottumwa, Kevin Lisk of Creston, six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held Jan. 28 at the Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney. Burial was at Tioga Cemetery, Rose Hill. A memorial fund has been established.
