Leslie T. Lyness, 71, of rural Ryan, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, following a lengthy illness, at his residence near Ryan. Mass of Resurrection was held Feb. 4 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Ryan, with the Rev. Richard Gaul as celebrant. Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Ryan.
Local survivors include daughter Amy Lyness of North Liberty.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or Hospice of Comfort.
