Lisa Green-Douglass to run for JC supervisor

NORTH LIBERY– North Liberty resident Lisa Green-Douglass, a Democrat, has announced her run for a seat on the Johnson County Board of Supervisors in 2016.
Green-Douglass is an advocate for several issues in Johnson County, including the newly-created mental health crisis response team, an increased minimum wage and responsible land use.
Green-Douglass has been actively involved in the community and with Johnson County politics since the mid 80s. She is interested in the job of supervisor because it would involve working closely with the various county department heads, managing the county’s budget, and creating policy.
Green-Douglass works as a corporate trainer for Command Spanish, providing job-specific Spanish language training to law enforcement officers, paramedics, 911 dispatchers, school nurses and other professions. She and her husband Tom live in an old farmhouse in rural North Liberty with three of their five children.
