New cupcake store opening in North Liberty April 8
NORTH LIBERTY– JJ’S Cupcakes has purchased Isaac’s Creamery in North Liberty and will now offer gourmet desserts along with North Liberty’s favorite hard scoop ice cream.
JJ’s Cupcakes and Isaac’s Creamery will officially open April 8 at 25 East Cherry St. in North Liberty. Located in the 100-year-old Koser’s Grocery building, JJ’s Cupcakes and Isaac’s Creamery will offer patrons 30 varieties of gourmet cupcakes and 16 flavors of locally-made hard scoop ice cream.
Janee Bradshaw, owner and proprietor of JJ’s Cupcakes, said her gourmet cupcakes are baked fresh daily with only top quality ingredients.
“We offer an unprecedented collection of flavors with special toppings including root beer, s’mores and orange creme,” said Bradshaw. “Over the years I have developed my favorite cupcake recipes and a special blending technique that creates a light, not overly-sweet dessert that everyone loves to devour.”
JJ’s Cupcakes and More purchased Isaac’s Creamery from Troy and Lora Miller of Naomi’s Kitchen. Naomi’s Kitchen will continue to operate, offering customers the opportunity to take home dinner and dessert.
“This was the perfect opportunity for us and Isaac’s Creamery, and the Millers have been so helpful as we prepare for our grand opening,” said Bradshaw. “We’re already planning some exciting events for the building including cupcake decorating parties for birthdays.”
In addition to gourmet cupcakes and ice cream, JJ’s Cupcakes will offer chocolate-dipped strawberries and desserts for those with dietary restrictions. The facility also allows Bradshaw to cater for large group orders such as weddings, office functions and birthdays. And, JJ’s Cupcakes will take custom orders to match team colors, school colors and tailgate parties.
