Old Gold to host premier of Little Brown Church movie
SOLON– Solon’s Old Gold Diner will be hosting the premiere showing of “The Little Brown Church in the Vale: The Movie” Tuesday, June 17, at the Solon United Methodist Church.
The movie is produced and directed by Oskaloosa native Brian Hanson, now of Franklin, Tennessee.
“The Little Brown Church in the Vale: The Movie” is the delightful story of The Little Brown Church, the “Church in the Wildwood” song that made it famous, and the people whose lives have been touched by this “little brown church” in Nashua.
It has been home to nearly 74,000 weddings during the last 100 years. It is truly a national treasure.
Share the laughter, the tears, and the heartwarming stories of people that have made the church the destination for their wedding and are left with a memory to last forever.
The film will be shown at 12:30 p.m. in the Solon United Methodist Church, 122 N. West St., Solon. Director Brian Hanson will be there to talk about his new film. Seating is very limited.
