Register now for ‘4-H on Wheels’ summer program opportunities

IOWA CITY– Summer “4-H on Wheels” for first through fifth grade youth in Johnson County begins June 4. The weekly two-hour program includes science experiments, art activities, nutritious snacks, games and recreation.
Led by 4-H youth development staff, youth will experiment with things that fly, glide and spin, do science activities and brainstorm ways to solve science puzzles and challenge their senses.
Weekly programs from June 4 until July 6 will be held at the following locations: Mercer Park Shelter and Lemme Elementary School in Iowa City, Lone Tree North Park, Penn Meadow Park in North Liberty, Swisher Park, and Clear Creek Amana Middle School in Tiffin.
Registration forms are available at Johnson County Extension, 319-337-2145 and at www.extension.iastate.edu/johnson/. The cost of the program is $20 per child. There is no fee for families who receive free/reduced school lunches.
