Robert Vavra

Robert Dean Vavra, 66, of Roseville, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly June 6, 2014.
A son of Arnold and Agnes (Kriz) Vavra, he was raised in Ely and graduated from Prairie High School in Cedar Rapids, Michigan State University and the University of Minnesota. Robert was a longtime employee of Unisys.
He was patient, charitable and loved.
Surviving are his wife, Betty; sons, Matt (Sarah) and Nick; grandsons, Gabe and Max; brothers, Tom and Bill (Marian); nieces, Andrea (Mak) and Christy; and many friends and family worldwide.
Memorial services will be Saturday, June 28, at the Roseville, Minnesota Memorial Chapel. Private interment.
Scott Werderman
Scott Werderman, 59, died Sunday at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, Iowa following a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral services were held June 19 at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa. In lieu of flowers a memorial may be made to the Ed and JoAnn Hemphill Hospice Unit at St. Luke’s Hospital. Thoughts, memories and condolences may be left at www.goettschonline.com.
Surviving is his wife, Sheryl, his son Brian of Littleton, Colorado, four step-children, Jessie (Corey) Buck, Williamsburg, Mike (Danielle) Johnson, Chris (Tracey) Johnson, both of Marion, Chad (Tess) Johnson, Robins, his father-in-law, Francis Mysak, Springville, eight grandchildren, his siblings, Julie (Dan) Dietiker, Mark (Susie Edleman) Werderman, Mary Cook all of Anamosa, Lori (Tim) Tylee, North Liberty, Tracy Nissen, Anamosa. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Lesa Stimpson.
Scott David Werderman was born Sept. 11, 1954. He was the son of Glen and Helen (Shedek) Werderman. Scott graduated with the class of 1973 from the Anamosa Community Schools. He was employed at the Iowa Department of Transportation and Gomberts Logging. He had also worked as a truck driver for Brickley Trucking. For the past 26 years Scott has worked at Weber Stone in Stone City.
