Sheriff's Office files charges in burglary cases
IOWA CITY– The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office has filed charges on individuals believed to be involved in some residential burglaries in Northern Johnson County. Areas included North Liberty, Solon and the rural areas around those cities. The Sheriff’s Office worked this investigation with the North Liberty Police Department. The residences affected were located off of the following streets or roads: Sugar Bottom Road, Spring Breeze Ct., Pine Ridge NE, Willow Ct. and Maple Circle and some addresses in North Liberty.
The subjects charged and charges are as written below. Please note the charging agency is listed with each charge.
- Robert Louis Nash IV, 18, charged with Theft 1st (North Liberty) Theft 2nd (JCSO) Burglary 3rd (JCSO) Burglary 3rd (JCSO)
- Tyranius Montrice Nelson, 18, charged with Theft 1st (North Liberty) Theft 2nd (JCSO) Burglary 3rd (JCSO)
- Keylynn Aaron Lee Rogers, 18, charged with Theft 1st Theft 3rd (North Liberty) Theft 2nd Theft 2nd Burglary 3rd Burglary 3rd (JCSO)
In addition to this the following individual has charges pending, is not in custody, and there is an active warrant for his arrest. Any information on his where abouts can be given to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office:
- Morgan Tony Powell, 18, Warrants Theft 1st (North Liberty) Theft 2nd Burglary 3rd Burglary 3rd (JCSO)
As with any criminal case, a charge is merely an accusation and a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
