Six Clipper girls named to WaMaC All-Conference teams
NORTH LIBERTY– Six Clear Creek Amana (CCA) Clippers were named to the WaMaC’s West division All-Conference Teams for their performances in the 2014 season.
Molly Villhauer, a senior, made the First Team as an infielder. Villhauer had 49 hits, including three home runs and 16 doubles, scored 29 runs and had 36 RBIs. Defensively, she made 249 put-outs and 265 catches.
The Clippers’ standout pitcher, Lexi Kinnaird was named to the Second Team along with infielder Mallory Neubauer and outfielder Hannah Mougin. Kinnaird, a junior, had 29 hits with seven doubles and 20 RBIs. In the circle, she had an 18-8 record in 23 starts for 170-1/3 innings of work. Kinnaird struck out 190, gave up 139 hits and 38 earned runs (65 runs total) for an ERA of 1.56.
Neubauer, a senior, had 52 hits including six home runs and 11 doubles, scored 38 runs and drove-in 18 runs. Defensively, she made 46 put-outs with 125 catches. Mougin, a junior, had 20 hits with three triples and two doubles, scored 21 runs and had nine RBIs. Defensively, Mougin made 42 put outs and 48 catches.
Eden Campbell and Lauren Stopko were named to the Honorable Mention squad. Campbell, a senior, had 29 hits with one homer and five doubles, scored seven runs and batted in 23. Campbell had 271 put-outs in her role as catcher. Stopko, a junior, had 41 hits with one triple and three doubles, scored 27 runs and drove in 15. Defensively, Stopko made 71 put-outs, 51 assists and 128 catches.
