Solon boys advance to substate semifinal

The Solon varsity boys’ soccer team defeated Mid-Prairie 1-0 in a soccer substate semifinal Wednesday, advancing to a substate final against Albia Saturday, May 26, at noon in Solon (subsequent to the publication of this edition). A win places the Spartans in the state soccer tournament in Des Moines.
