Solon breaks ground on new Habitat for Humanity home

Father James Vrba, Pastor Dennis Arnold, Mayor Cami Rasmussen and Rev. Carol Kress joined Vicki, Chanse and Kurt Shover, as well as Mark Patton, Executive Director of Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity, for a groundbreaking ceremony last Tuesday, May 1, at 413 S. Dubuque St. in Solon, the site of the community’s first Habitat for Humanity home. Each of the three Solon clergy provided a blessing as part of the ceremony.
