Solon Public Library Board of Trustees has rural vacancy
JOHNSON COUNTY– The Board of Supervisors is accepting applications for one vacancy on the Solon Public Library Board of Trustees for a person residing in unincorporated Johnson County. The vacancy is for an unexpired term, beginning immediately and expiring Dec. 31, 2015. While all Solon Public Library Board of Trustees members are appointed by the Solon mayor, the appointment of a resident of unincorporated Johnson County is subject to the approval of the Board of Supervisors.
A Solon Public Library Board of Trustees member’s roles include, but are not limited to: being an advocate for the library in the community and an advocate for the community, planning for the future of the library, monitoring and evaluating the overall effectiveness of the library, setting library policies, and hiring and evaluating the library director. The Solon Public Library Board of Trustees meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 7 p.m.

Completed applications must be returned to the Board of Supervisors Office by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26.
