Spartans bow out in first round at state

The Solon boys’ soccer team lost 1-0 to the West Liberty Comets in the the first round of action in the Class 1A State Soccer Tournament. The Comets would lose in the next round to Nevada, which fell to Waterloo Columbus in the 1A title game.
