TIFFIN Notes

Holiday Decorating Contest
TIFFIN– The City of Tiffin is holding its Annual Holiday Decorating Contest. Help bring the spirit of the holiday season to Tiffin. Prizes will be given to first, second and third places for the best holiday decorations. The city is also looking for volunteers to be judges.
If interested in signing up to be a contest judge, please contact Ashley at Tiffin City Hall, 319-545-2572. Judging will take place a week before Christmas.
This is a great chance to take the family around town and make holiday memories to remember for a lifetime.

Online bill payments
TIFFIN– The City of Tiffin is currently running a trial period for its new Online Payment Processing Center. This service should be up and running by January. Residents will be able to:
• Pay a utility bill
• Review account information
• Review previous bills and payment history
• Review household utility consumption history
To set up an online account, have a utility bill showing the account number and the property location exactly the way it is listed for billing purposes. Contact Ashley or Amy at City Hall, 319-545-2572, for assistance with online setup.
Once this service is available, the city will notify residents on their next water bill. For bill pay, go to the City of Tiffin’s web page, and find a link that says “Pay My Bill”, which will lead to a secure payment processing center. Payments received through this method will see a small convenience fee attached to the payment.

Online searchable database
TIFFIN– The City of Tiffin has been working to implement an online searchable database to allow access to most public records. This will give residents the ability to visit the city web page at www.tiffin-iowa.org. From there, the public will be able to search for ordinances, resolution, council meeting minutes, agendas and building permits. This is a very user-friendly service that will be rolling out early this month.
