Victoria Jo Duensing

Victoria Jo Duensing, 60, of North Liberty, died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014, at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City. A Funeral Mass was held Oct. 4 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Pleasant Plain with the Rev. Robert Striegel officiating. Burial was in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
She was born July 20, 1954, in Washington to Joseph E. and Jean I. (Miller) Stalder. Vicki grew up near Pleasant Plain, graduated from Fairfield High School in 1972 and from the Des Moines Area Community College as a medical lab technologist. She married David Duensing in 1978 and they later divorced.
Vicki was a New York Yankees fan and loved to work in her garden and yard. She worked for Washington County Hospital and Cross Medical Labs in Iowa City for a number of years and was currently working for Mercy Hospital.
Vicki is survived by her children, Lucas Duensing of Pleasant Plain, Alexis (Chad Steward) Duensing of Cedar Rapids and Adrienne (Steve) Jones of Columbia, South Carolina; three grandchildren; three brothers, John (Sharon) Stalder of Jefferson, Kenneth (Cheryl) Stalder of Huxley and Glen (Melissa) Stalder of Bellevue. She was preceded in death by her parents.
