Roy Dale Albers, 85, of Keystone died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at the Keystone Nursing Care Center.
Funeral services were held Jan. 19 at St. John Lutheran Church in Keystone, with the Rev. B. Andrew Wright officiating. Interment was at the Keystone Cemetery, with military rites.
A memorial fund has been established.
Roy was born Nov. 5, 1927, in Keystone, to George Alvin and Blanche Rosetta (Miller) Albers. During the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Army. On Nov. 16, 1954, he was united in marriage to Colleen Koeppen in Dysart. Roy was proud to farm on the Albers Century Farm near Keystone before his retirement.
Roy was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Merkel-Bockholt American Legion Post 107 and the Turner Hall in Keystone.
Local survivors include his sister-in-law, Connie Koeppen of Solon.
