Wanda Marie Stoneking Burrack, 60, of Cedar Rapids, lost her long battle with Wegeners and short battle with cancer Sunday morning, March 1, 2009. Visitation was Wednesday, March 4 at Morgan Funeral Home, Mount Vernon. No funeral service will be held.
Surviving Wanda is her husband, Rex; son, Rich and wife Pam Burrack and their two sons, Ryan and Ian Burrack; a daughter Holly and husband Tom Njus, Tom’s daughter Rachel and her daughter Evelyn, all of Cedar Rapids; and four brothers, Gene Stoneking and friend Peggy of Cedar Rapids, Dave and wife Donna Stoneking of Sutliff, Terry and wife Nancy Stoneking of Keystone, and Jim Stoneking of Ely.
Wanda was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents and a sister-in-law, Kim Stoneking.
Wanda was born June 9, 1948, in Mount Vernon, the daughter of Ivan and Ida Bean Stoneking. She married Rex Burrack on April 27, 1968 in Mount Vernon. Wanda was employed at Collins Radio for a short time then worked at Square D for 25 years, before having to take disability retirement.
Wanda enjoyed reading, puzzle books, camping, fishing, movies, crafts, slot machines, traveling, but mostly entertaining her grandkids. Wanda will be missed by all who knew her.
A memorial fund has been established.
