IOWA CITY– The University of Iowa Museum of Natural History's Animal Tales Storytime series continues on Sunday, July 19, with a free, public children's book reading about alligators and crocodiles at 2 p.m. in the Biosphere Discovery Hub, located on the third floor of Macbride Hall on the UI Pentacrest.
Families are invited for an afternoon of stories related to the animals on display in the museum. After the storytime, visitors can explore the associated exhibits with museum staff, and children will be given activity sheets to take home. Stories are geared toward elementary-aged children and will be read in various galleries of Macbride Hall.
The next Animal Tales Storytime reading is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16.
