The Friends of the Library is gearing up for its annual Memorial Day Weekend Used Book Sale with over 7,000 items offered at extremely reasonable prices. Most items are priced at 25 cents to 50 cents. The three-day event will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 28. For all the shoppers waiting for the doors to open, admission is free with no early bird admission charge. The sale will run through 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 28. Sunday, May 29, times are 7 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and Monday, May 30, will be a clearance sale with 10 items for $1 from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
In addition to used books, there will also be audio books, VHS and DVD movies and computer games. Items to be donated are still being accepted at the circulation desk at the library. Proceeds benefit the Solon Public Library and the Solon school libraries. Donations for this book sale need to be at the library no later than May 20 in order to be sorted.
