CEDAR RAPIDS—The Cedar Rapids Museum of Art (CRMA) is celebrating free admission at the Grant Wood Studio with a Party at Grant Wood’s: Free Family Fun Day on Saturday, June 25, from 12-4 p.m.
Stop by to tour the Studio and participate in fun-filled activities for the entire family! All activities will be inspired by Grant Wood’s home and studio and they’re all free. Activities will include art projects like making your very own Lilies of the Alley and making dingbat door spinners, just like the one Grant Wood made for the door entering his Studio. We’ll also decorate the sidewalk with chalk-drawn tiles and create American Gothic parodies. And don’t miss the “Lawn Theatre,” as well as your chance to enter to win a $100 Museum Store gift card!
Party at Grant Wood’s is an Official Freedom Festival Event and is supported in part by International Paper – Cedar River Mill and the Alliant Energy Foundation. Free admission during regular Studio hours has been made possible by a grant from the Esther and Robert Armstrong Charitable Trust.
