Solon American Legion Riders raffle Oct. 31

SOLON– The Solon American Legion Riders have launched their fall raffle. Funds from the raffle are used in various community projects– including providing an annual scholarship to a Solon graduating senior whose parent or grandparent has served in the military, and sending Christmas-care packages to local service personnel serving around the world during the holiday season.
Prizes for this year’s raffle are a Char-Griller Duo combination gas-charcoal grill, which is on display at the Solon AMERICAN Legion; a Kodak EasyShare Z981, 14 megapixel digital camera with movie mode; and a meat package from Hy-Vee. All prizes are valued at $300.
Tickets may be purchased from any American Legion Rider or at the Legion. Ticket prices are $1 each; 6 tickets for $5 or 12 tickets for $10. The raffle drawing is Oct. 31.
