SOLON– From Monday, Oct. 3, through Wednesday, Dec. 5, the City of Solon will perform its annual fall leaf pickup service. This is a free service provided to the residents of the City of Solon. Leaves will be collected once per week beginning on Mondays. Depending on the amount of leaves to be collected and other workloads, some properties may not have leaves picked up until Tuesday or Wednesday of any week. As a reminder, residents are asked to rake the leaves into a pile or piles or to windrow them behind the curb, but not into the street or gutter. Any pile or windrow containing non-leaf debris (garden clippings, grass, sticks or branches or any other foreign objects) will not be picked up. Vehicles parked on the street should be moved out of the way so the vacuum leaf collector can reach the piles or windrows of leaves. If you have any questions concerning this process, please contact the City of Solon Public Works Department at 624-5037 or the city office at 624-3755.
