West girls 3-0 with road win

DUBUQUE— The Women of Troy picked up a road win Tuesday night, Nov. 29, at Senior High in Dubuque. West pounded the Rams 85-48 after taking an early 19-2 lead and being up 24-9 at the half.
The win put West at a 3-0 record overall, 1-0 in the MVC.
Ally Disterhoft led with 19 points, McKenzie Piper scored 14 and Shelly Stumpff had 13. Again Coach BJ Mayer was able to rotate through his entire bench, which led to 13 of the 15 players scoring. Brianna Sturtz put up nine points, Jessica Shull had seven and Tatum Klein scored five while Shahana Williams, Grace Tafolla and Laynie Whitehead scored four points apiece.
The Women of Troy take on Bettendorf at home this Saturday, Dec. 10.
