Solon school district audit released for 2010-11

SOLON– The Solon Community School District’s revenues totaled $16,095,906 for the year ended June 30, 2011, an eight percent increase over the prior year. Revenues included $7,108,861 in local tax, charges for services and sales of $2,193,362, operating grants of $1,945,702, unrestricted state grants of $4,546,169, contributions and donations of $123,061, unrestricted interest of $129,775, other general revenues of $64,229 and loss on disposal of capital assets of $16,253.
Expenses for district operations totaled $14,940,184, a 13 percent increase over the prior year. Expenses included $8,269,986 for instruction, $3,797,710 for support services, $810,155 for non-instructional programs and $2,062,333 for other expenses.
