OXFORD– Capturing your favorite moment in nature isn’t always easy. Years of experience outdoors can help you capture those moments and learning from someone that has had years of experience enjoying nature is even better. The nature photography for youth class, to be held at the Conservation Education Center at F.W. Kent Park, on June 30 beginning at 8 a.m., will provide participants with an opportunity to learn from a local birder and naturalist, Rick Hollis who has spent years honing his skills observing nature and capturing those moments. The class is designed to help youth understand the basics of nature photography and practice those skills with hands-on field experience at F.W. Kent Park. Youth will begin the morning in the Conservation Education Center at F.W. Kent Park and then venture outdoors to capture nature’s beauty. Participants are encouraged to wear old clothes, wear hiking shoes, bring insect repellant, bring their own digital camera; as well as a spare set of batteries, the manual for their camera, a flash drive and a parent assistant.
