Irene Stallman

Irene Marie Stallman, 76, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, July 22, 2012, at Manor Care Health Services following a courageous battle with cancer and diabetes. Services were held July 26 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Norway, by the Rev. Craig Steimel. Burial was at St. Michael Cemetery.
Local survivors include her sister Mary Jane (Larry) Ockenfels of Swisher, and her brother, Marvin (Deanna) Stallman of Ely.
Irene was born Feb. 14, 1936, in Norway, the daughter of Louis and Elsie (Frimml) Stallman and graduated from Norway High School in 1954. She retired in 1991, after 32 years with Rockwell Collins.
Instead of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Mercy, the American Diabetes Association and the American Cancer Society.
